Wood Staining for Ceilings, Doors, Decks & Trim
Stained wood is a signature of foothills and lake homes: tongue-and-groove porch ceilings, timber trusses, front doors and stair treads. We stain and seal new wood and refinish wood that has weathered, inside and out.

Exterior Staining
Front doors, porch ceilings and posts, decks and stairs, and wood siding and trim all take stain and sealer. Sun and weather wear exterior stain faster than paint, so we’ll talk with you about the right product for the exposure and a realistic schedule for keeping it looking good.
Getting an Even Finish
Softwoods like pine can blotch if stain goes straight on, and color changes from one board to the next. Careful sanding, conditioning where the wood needs it and a test sample on your own wood make the difference between an even finish and a patchy one.
